Buck 196 mini alpha hunter dilema

Hi all!
Tried calling Buck but there rep gets a real :thumbdn:

Thanks

What seemed to be the problem with the Rep? Any I've ever talked to were very nice and helpfull. Since the knife isn't available from the custom shop, I doubt there was anything a Rep could help you with anyway.

eh I don't want to discuss the rep any further. The only reason I even mentioned that part was because I wanted everyone to know going through the company was not an option. Not that big a deal really.

Well, using a thumbs down regarding the Rep, gives a reader the impression that they were rude or unwilling to help if they could, so I was just curious.

Yeah , Bucks' customer service is 2nd to none IMHO so it would really be a surprise if someone had a rude experience.

I have only called Buck once and the service was something that other companies would love to have. I didn't have to push any other numbers for English and that was a good thing. Try calling any tech support then call Buck.

Hi all!

I really like the design/feel of the 196. My problem is that I want a solid blade but with the handles seen in this photo ( http://www.thetraditionalhunter.com/gallery/v/album/album_007/ ) What is the best way to get a pair of handles like this? Tried calling Buck but there rep gets a real :thumbdn:

Thanks

Hi SRO,

Buck has made many limited editions on the 196 knife, some wood, some stag and other exotic materials (I like this knife and have a few of them). I'd tell you to keep an eye on ebay.
