Buck 198,199, 174, 179 Price?

I'm new to the forum so this may be and old question.

Does anyone know why the Buck knives on ebay are going so cheep? I got the 199 for $20.00 plus $5.00 shipping and the knife is new with a warranty. It seems like a good knife even though its made in china.

Any input would be appreciated.

Some of us (like me - Hi!) are n00bies here and don't know all the Buck model numbers...and the Buck site Search function is dysfunctional at best, although it sometimes will puke up a hit if you type in the popular name, so...

What are the names of those models??? (I.E., Ranger, General, Hunter, etc)

The 199 Pilot is a nice little knife and for an every day user thats not a bad price. Still has the same warranty even though it is a sourced product.

I picked up a 198 Mantis on sale at K-Mart a few weeks ago for $6.00. I'm sure a few sellers on the big evil E purchased all they could find and are now trying to re-sell for a profit.

Like heng em said, pretty nice knives, just not made in the US.
