Has anyone got their hands on one of these? I see there have been a few special runs, but I haven't seen any with 420HC and the black phenolic grip. Looks like a dandy little user.

I picked up a 212 420hc from Copper and Clad. Great hunting knife. The sheath is just OK, but I love the knife. Reminds me of the old Western L66’s. Just a tad shorter. If you are into traditional fixed blade hunting knives, I’d say it’s a good addition.

Great knife. It has a sweeping grind. So the area in front of the ricasso is a little odd. I added a largish yet shallow sharpening choil to fix it. Not the phenolic version but the same grind.

There are a lot of great versions of this knife available.

Nice set Mike. Is the one on the end one of the 13 jigged buffalo horn knives? The spacer has me curious.

It’s an exclusive to copper and clad. So once that deal ends it may or may not go into production.

if you want a less expensive version buy a 103 skinner and turn it into a clip point. You will end up with a better sheath too. That’s what some were doing before. David Martin has one that he uses a lot.

Got my standard 212 from C&C and it's been with me every day for the past month and it's an awesome knife.
I can't begin to tell you how many boxes it's opened at work In this time.
The sheath I didn't care for eve if I was right handed so I made my own left sheath for it and the knife has been a real joy.
It's a gorgeous blade too.
My only complaint is that there's no model number or date code on the blade and I've actually forgotten what model it was a few times and had to go look at the box o_O
I don't really mind that it's just etched and not stamped since it's in a spot where you're not going to wear it off, but they could have put a model number on it and the date code is one of the fun things I love about Buck knives.

Looks like you put a sharpening notch on yours. Good idea.
