Anybody else like the 279 folding hunter this way, now if i can get the (screw holders) off i will be set.

No I have the rubber handles the 2004 year and I think it kind of looks like the 110's I have seen with skeleton handles, but thats just me maybe.

You may want to make some handles for it. With your flavor. I've always thought micarta would give a good grip. They would be easy to make. DM

Yeah probably will, wife doesnt like the look so I have been thinking which will look best. I am more into traditionals now but couldnt beat the price.

The skeleton is off the bay ( a Leroy knife). Personally I don't like the rosewood and replace them;

Gsea, did the stag come with that one or did you replace or do them yourself and what do you think of the knife without scales?

Don't have the skeleton knife it is a pic of a knife Leroy Remer customized, personally they don't appeal to me. The stag is a replacement scale don't like the rosewood, the rubber is a good edc handle but I replace all of mine. Since they are screw on and off - easy work.

The stag and ambonya look great, I am judt not that talented. I am more of a frame carpenter then a finish carpenter to use an old saying, I will have to stick with rubber till I can figure something out. It is a modern folder so some kind of modern material, something flat and thin that I can just trace cut and put on. Sand bevel the edges and so.
