So I have been switching between the two pretty much all month. Anyone here has a reason why you would stick with one and not the other?

Lets paint the picture that you had only a few $bucks and wanted a pocket knife.. which one would you buy?

Buck Pros so far:
Good stainless
3 blades instead of 2
The main clip blade has a great choil that comes in handy for larger jobs

Peanut pros:
Carries so well in pocket
Sharpens easier to an even better sharpness

I have both already. They fit somewhat different usage profiles. If I were forced to choose between one or the other, I would choose the Buck simply because it is a more versatile tool with three blades and a bit more robust, even though with 3 springs it is a thicker and heavier knife to carry relative to the Peanut. But it's still a relatively slim relatively small pocket knife. If I'm going to be carrying a pocket knife, I prefer something a little bigger than the Peanut.

I think the 303 is their single best traditional, very pocketable but still a serious user. Peanut will get the job done, just not as easily.

I would go 301 and a peanut. If it came to one or the other, I'd go 303. But, for my habits and tastes, I'd carry the peanut and a 301. Just goofy I guess.

I've owned both. And while I liked the 303 well enough, I prefer the thinner blades on the peanut. They're snappier too. The snap on the 303 was just a tad soft for my liking.

I've currently got the 373, which is the China-version. It's getting lots of carry! I think it handle the vast majority of EDC chores. I have a SAK which adds balance. I've admired and handled the Peanuts, but just can't abide by the tiny size.

If I was to mostly cut open envelopes, packing string, and tape (office environment type cutting) I would think about a Peanut (pretty well concealed in dress slacks). For slightly more serious use such as cutting plenty of cardboard boxes open, skinning Romex, scoring a sheet of wallboard, cutting/eating MRE's, etc., I would opt for the 303 size (Buck, 34OT, Case 63032, etc.) Actually they are fairly close on the overall scale of pocketknives. I like this idea. Keep the peanut and go bigger on the stockman. Two knives, the classic solution to our agonies!

303 without hardly thinking about it. I have both. Matter of fact I have several 303's and one is in my pocket as I write this.

Why? Sheepsfoot blade.
And the Peanut is not as comfortable in my hand. The larger handle makes for a better grip for me.
