I have a 307 Stockman in need of some new scales. I think I can replace them if I can get the originals off in one piece. Does anyone know how they are attached to the liner? Looks to me like they are epoxied to the liner with just the back spring pin showing. Anyone know for sure?

Well, BCCL

For the first time I may not be able to produce the needed photo. BUT, my junk box is in the bottom of the safe and I will have to take everything else out to look in it. That is the last hope.

But let me give check out first. Open all the blades and look down in the blade well what do you see? You should see brass liner with two holes per side and some scale derlin sticking thru, looks like it was hot pressed inside blade well. There may be some glue but those scale hole give some grip on the plastic also. When you grind off the brass spring pin it will be too short to use I am pretty sure. So do you have the proper size pin for replacement? I haven't taken one off but I think it may come off easy by prying or in pieces that you cut down to the liner and pop off. Escutcheon plate is glued on in depression. Don't throw it away, if you don't want it I do. Certain ones pop off more than others. Yellow scales seem to lose them more than black....

If I have a photo of naked knife I will add it to thread but if you look in empty blade well you will get the idea of what the situation is, heck I will add photo of 307 blade well for others entertainment...........300Bucks
