I have a Buck 309C and the shield (hammer, nail and knife) is upsidedown from all the others I have seen. Does anyone know why it is this way?? Just wondering. Thanks for any information you might have.

Welcome, raiser for your 1st post. The emblem was put in wrong originally. DM

Craig, I don't know about the 95 models but from your photos of the early models it was part of the liner. I'm thinking by now its a seperate emblem. This emblem on the 700 sliplocks series was a seperate glue in plate from the onset. Whether by hand or automation I suppose the chance exists for ONE to get put in upside down out of ten thousand. Thank you David and mbj for the information....I just got it at an antique sale :) and I picked it cause I needed a good pocket knife, didn't know the difference until my hubby said something about it. He has several Bucks and noticed this right off....guess I just got lucky and got an odd one. Thanks again!
