I’ve owned several of these Slimline Trappers over the years, all had somewhat soft blade snap and thus never became pocket pals. Non-the-less, I’ll give them their due. OH

Yep. Buck needs to blend some Viagra in with the steel they use on the 300 series' backsprings!
🤣

I'm of the minority but I've grown to like the soft springs. I've never had a buck that didn't close and stay closed or open and stay open. Easy to open when you hands are wet and cold. I like them. But that's not to say I don't appreciate a gator snap spring too.

I don't have a 311, but I appreciate you guys sharing so I can remember what they look like. :)

Buck stopped sourcing the 311 Slimline Trapper from Camillus when Buck's own model Trappers, the 312 and 314 were introduced. In addition to the 700 series pocket knives, Buck brought the 301, 303, 305, and 309 models inhouse from Camillus about late 1985. ........Buck was already well set up and experienced at making slip joint pocket knives when the 312 and 314 Trappers were introduced about 1990.
