Buck 312 for 3/12/24

As mentioned yesterday, here is a Buck 312 for March 12th. I bought this knife as new old stock from an Ace Hardware back in the early 2000’s if memory serves. It has an “X” date code which makes it a 1990.

Here's mine from 1997. IIRC it also was from a hardware store that was closing in early 2000. I bought quite a few Bucks and the display from them.

Nice find! This would be a dream to stumble upon. My Ace Hardware doesn't carry any knives, but the one a couple towns over has a Case display. No Bucks though.

I can re-post old images.
The 1993 model 312 Silver Buck trapper. I found it listed on the 1993 Special Projects list with no build quantity given. Mine is sn.269 so at least that many. Could not find any information in the old newsletters. I did find mention in an old post by 300Bucks they were a Smoky Mountain project.

312 and 314, two nice Buck Knives that came and went without me ever owning one (I look when in pawn shops and gun shows). OH
