The 317 is the old long discontinued 5-1/4'' folding hunter that was made for Buck by Camillus, wasn't it? If it's the correct one, it should share dimensions with most any folding hunter, 4'' blades, one clip/one skinner, 5-1/4'' frame length, approximately 5/8'' thick in the center.

Phil pretty much nailed it, the 317 was a 5 1/4" closed standard 2 blade folding hunter, made by Camillus for Buck from 1972-1986.
