Buck 317 Trailblazer

I had one but must have deleted it from my hard drive. This was an experiment, not a production knife. It never made the catalog and never had its own box (just a sticker on the regular box). Some were serrated on the clip blade and some on the second (not really a spey) blade. These were all Camillus contract knives. I consider it a variation, much like after market modifications, because there is no way to tel whether the serrations were original or done later.

Vern , No offence ,but you post you're answer in the
right thread??

I have a 317 Trailblazer and it has it's own box and I've never seen
a 317 anywhere with serrations. By the way my 317 is dead mint.

As to a pic of the knife I'll recommend a look on e-bay as there is usually
one or two there. I will say this it is a darn good knife in the folding hunter
style.

All,
I am not sure how Vern got off on the serrated edge facet, but what he says is true about the 317 serrated knife. In fact, there were several 300 series knives which had experimental(?) serrated blades. However, the standard 317 certainly was in the catalog, had its own box, etc. just like any other Buck 300 series knife.

Larry, Yes I bid on one of the Experimental pieces that Vern had on
e-bay.....a drop point serrated beauty that I got out bid by a penny!!!
Had to settle on a regular Trailblazer ,but, it's still a grand beauty to me.

They do have one on e-bay right now with pictures. The one I have coming in does not have serrations. Thanks for replies!!!!!!!

The 317 serrated was in the 1989 catalogue. We only sold them that year and there were about 700 made.
