Found this mint 4 blade Buck at the knife show this weekend, no markings other than "Buck" and "U.S.A.". It has brass liners and the delrin is brass riveted.
Anyone have info on this one? Thanks guys.

Joe

Special run by Smoky Mtn. Knife Works, I believe 1995 without looking it up. Cami. made. You can now begin the search for a yellow handled one to have the set. If anyone has seen one in any other handle material I would appreciate hearing about it. Value - over $50 needs to be MIB, mint under $50 is a good deal, near $25 is a steal, and get me one also :- ]

Got this one for $20. Now I gotta find a yellow one? Shucks...:p

I have been collecting Buck knives since 1974 and that is the first Congress I have seen. It looks like it is based on the 300 series of knives. That is a real nice find.

It is in fact the 322 Congress. I think it was offered in 1988. It was the first of the ersatz Bucks made by Camillus for Smoky Mountain. You stole it at $20.00. You did really well with that. There is one odd thing about this knife. Every other ersatz Cami was just a re-badged version of a standard Cami model but if you compare this one to a Cami congress it is a mirror image of it. The Cami is left handed, main blade on the left side, and the fake Buck congress is right handed, the main blade is at the front on the right. I always thought that was a little weird. Still the Cami congress is one of the very few lefties I own.

What makes it a "congress"??? The four blades???

Is there any significance to the reverse arched backbone???

Thanks for the good info Will, I always enjoy finding something like this, kinda unusual. An old dealer told me the other day that I was better off collecting these Bucks because, as he put it, "your getting twice the knife for half the money". I told him that I already knew that. :)

I think it is at least partly the sway back because you sometimes see two bladed congresses referred to as Irish congresses. I have also seen them referred to as half congresses so it probably is a little of both.
