You've all seen these listed on eBay from China sellers. Buck did once legitimately have this knife made in China for RMEF. It is listed in the 2007 SP list as 0480PKSSRMEF-A cat #4703, qty 100,000. That is a huge number of knives so legitimate ones must be out there. Does anyone have one of these knives with KNOWN provable provenance? Acquired directly from a RMEF banquet or in a legitimate Buck box with a barcode & catalog number. I don't know how the originals were packaged & sold so if you know, please respond on this thread or message me. I would like good quality pictures of both sides of the knife, sheath and box. Let me know if you can help me with this. The China sellers are also selling a model "490" with guthook. I see no mention of this model in the special projects listing. Anyone know if there was ever a legitimate "490" guthook? Thanks in advance.
