That's the "score" on what I've bought in the past 10 days. Here's the list, in order of purchase: 55, 371, mini-trapper, yellow 303, 110 on the way.

The 55 is an excellent "gents" or watch pocket knife. Was able to pick it out in person at a Sportsmans Warehouse about 90 miles from home, and what a little beaut' she is!

Bought the 371 at the local wallyworld - it's been 30+ years since I've had a "big" stockman and this one feels just right in the pocket and hand.

Got the little mini-trapper off the 'bay. Well constructed and a cute lil' fella, but too small to see much pocket time.

Also got the yellow 303 from the 'bay. Nice, nice, nice! I'm loving how Buck does their newer stockmans - 3 backsprings and the sheepsfoot on the "wrong" end of the knife. I probably use the sheepsfoot darn near as much as the clip blade, and it's sure handy to just flip the knife end to end to access the sheepsfoot.

The 110 is still enroute from a seller on the 'bay. According to the Buck dating chart it was made between 1974 - 1980. One dot on each side of the "110". It looks like it's in pretty good shape and I got it for what I consider a reasonable price ..... we'll see - when it gets here.

That's all for now, but I'm thinking a 301 might be next. ;)

You are on your way towards a great collection! Now all we need are PICTURES!

I know this isn't what you had in mind when you said "pictures", but it's all I got (and all I know how to do). :o (Related to old dog and new tricks). ;)

(The shield on the yellow 303 came out, but I found it, and it's in a safe place until I get some epoxy to reset it).

All 4 are great knives and I'm lookin' forward to getting my (first) 110 this week, too!

P.S. to postfallsidaho: You're right - I probably caught a touch of Buck fever(!), but from the looks of some of the usernames around here, yours included, there are lots of guys in "intensive care" with Buck fever ..... and probably not looking for a cure!

That's a good start as far as pictures go, thanks.

I had the same thing happen with the yellow 301 I carry. The shield fell out twice before I finally super glued it in. Looks like Buck needs to look into that issue.

Coyote, Looks great from here . Let us know what you think when your 2 dot 110 arrives . Thats a great knife with a 440C blade and solid macassar eboy slabs . Hope you like it . DM

Cools knives you got there... Be sure to post some pics of the 110 when you get it... Save some pics for the Sunday Picture Show.... ITE ... :D

Sounds like some nice ones going into
the collection. Congrats on the new ones.
Regards Sonny

I agree 1,000%. I love how they altered the traditional stockman blade layout. It's a big improvement IMHO.

I'm not looking for a cure, but I sure like to medicate regularly:p

David, I got the 2 dot 110 today and haven't been able to get the sh*t eatin' grin off my face since!!! Sorry I can't post more pics of the knife now - ITE told me to save some pics for the Sunday Show. ;)

It's hard to believe this knife is 30 - 36 years old - still locks up solid as a rock (what a great sound on lock-up!) - no blade play in any direction, and just a hair off from closing dead center in the liners. It wouldn't slice paper or grab a thumbnail when it came, but the 440c sharpened up to cut arm hair very quickly. The macassar ebony slabs still look almost new and the brass is in great condition. A little very minor pitting on the blade steel.

We really have to wait until sunday for more? :D

That looks like a real nice one!

Thanks for the pic!
