Buck 500 discontinued?

Hi folks,

I’ve seen several knife retail sites that says the 500 has been discontinued. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks in advance.

Buck still has it with the BSA logo inlaid in the scales.

These have been available as a web special recently.

I would have guessed they would have sold out quickly.
Nope.

It's a nice knife, and the only folder I'm aware of with stainless bolsters.
So tarnishing is not an issue.

I was lucky to get one from DLT this February. I just double-checked, and they are out of stock.

Yesterday there were 9 left. This morning it is down to 5.

I waited for everyone to have a chance and then picked up the last one. It's such a solid well made knife I couldn't let it go especially at a discounted price and if it really is discontinued. I have a 2013 model and an old one. They really are great knives.

Thanks! I'd been struggling with the temptation to pick up another knife. I just got a 102 in the mail today, so I really shouldn't buy anything else for a bit.
