Has Buck ever manufactured something like this?
Or has anyone found a way to rig a 112 blade into a buck 500?
Been dreaming of a knife like this since I got my 500 in the mail, and was missing the clip, even though I know a drop point is infinitely more useful...

Funny you asked. I saw a custom knife that Leroy R of TripleRknives and Heath S of Stone Knifeworks made. It has the 500 frame and the 112 clip blade, for a look see of this I'd go fishing if I were you.

Some hobbyists and custom makers could easily make you a "slim line" 112.

The Buck 500 is my favorite production Buck due to the drop point, but I vastly prefer the feel of the Buck 112.

I wish Buck would do a production thin line 112.

I'd like a "slim" lined 112 also, as the stock frame is way heftier than she needs to be :-)

It looks like in this photo just a sanding down was done, but not sure? If so, did you re-peen the rivits when you got "close" to final dimensions, or change them out from a complete tear down?

.......just so much more "pocket-able" when she's got her weight under control ;)

now has my preferred drop point
