I love these little knives. They are great for front pocket carry at home, running around and at work. They are very much the same, yet so different. I thought I would post some pictures of the two together for fun. Anyone carry these? I often find it difficult to choose which one to go with and sometimes end up carrying both, one in each front pocket.

I've carried both, but usually grab the drop point because it handles the tasks at work better. For me, they are the perfect size and disappear in the watch pocket nicely. A Bucklite version of this size would be awesome!

I have carried this 055 every day since i bought it about 3 months ago. So far it has done very well as a lightweight "gentleman's" EDC knife. Mine is the newer walnut handled version. After seeing this thread I might buy a 503 and try it out to see if I like the drop point blade better than the clip.

Best,
Matthew

Beautiful photo M.and. I love the looks of the walnut that Buck now uses on the 55 handles.

Had a 55 and EDCd it for years. Lost it about 18 months ago. Replaced it with a Gent with custom logos from my old PD, lost that about a month later! Found it about 6 months later, never found the 55 though, still miss it. About a month ago I lost my Vantage Avid, really bummed about that. This new job is causing me to lose too many knives, I may have to quit!

I would definitely replace the 55. I would have to replace any/all lost knives.

Great picture, that wood looks really nice.
