I was at WalMart to buy all of the 110's they have for my custom knife orders... Anyway they are clearing out the Buck 503's for $15.00 at our local store so I suspect they may be doing the same everywhere. I got all three they had left at the Lakewood (Washington State) store..... They are also now out of Buck 110's too.... A 503 for $15.00 IS A STEAL IN MY OPINION...

They would make nice starter knives for my grandkids. I'll have to take a look.

My local WM changed their knife department awhile back and sold off a bunch of Bucks at a big discount. Now they only carry like the 110 and 119 as far as the USA made ones go. They have a couple of the China one's, Nobleman and one other one that I can't remember.

It's almost like they are out of the Buck business.:grumpy:

......

Hopefully, they were cheaper than ordering them from Wally World's web site...in quantity, I mean... ;)

Kinda sucks if someone else in your town wants a 110...Like Little Johnny, who's been saving up his lunch money (and going hungry) to buy a brand spanking new by-God Buck 110... :(

Wouldn't matter in my local WM...Once something's sold, there's no coherent reorder policy...It's like Cadbury Easter Eggs...They're only here for a short time...then they're gone...

They are marked down here in Tucson, Az. for $15 also. I bought one for my 9 year old to put in his tackle box. I also got a 655 (Nighthawk) on clearance for $19. I thought I did real good :D . I asked if they had any more, but they only had 1 of each.

Take care, Mike Arnold

I checked the local Wally and asked the sporting goods clerk if they had any 503's? He said we only have what's on the display board. I said that you-all on the BF said that they were selling off the 503's at a discount price....clerk said nope sorry we don't have any. A customer was standing there listening and pointed into the other side of the counter display and said "is this One?". It just never ceases to amaze me that the store employee has no idea what they do or do not have.

Well I got one...the only one they had thanks to another customer;). I wanted to get at least 2 more as I have a few grand kids who will be joining the men folk at deer camp in the next few years and I always give a new pocket knife to the new be their first year followed by a 119 when they show me they can handle the pocket knife safely.

Here are a few photo's of the Wally 503. The tang stamp is almost non-existent, I can see only the CK from the word Buck, only the 3 from 503, the year arrow pointing up, and only the A from USA. It almost looks like the stamping was polished off, what letters, numbers, and symbols are visible are very hard to see. In the blade photo below it will not show up in the scan at all. But, for 15 clams I will not complain, overall fit and finish are fine. This one will go to my 10 year old grand daughter at Deer camp in October.

Thanks for the heads up. My eleven year old son went with me to Walmart and bought his first knife, a Buck 503. I think he made a great choice and hopefully there will be more to come.
