Buck 506?

Hey guys,

What can you tell me about a Buck 506?

It's a little fancier version of the 505 Knight. I've seen it called the White Knight and also the Lady Knight. Instead of the wood handles, it has white or ivory colored Buckarta handles. The first time that I found it in the catalogs was in 1979, but I didn't check to see how long it was made.

It has a 2" blade and is 2 3/4" closed.

Thanks Plum,
The question is, can a man carry a knife called the Lady Knight? I nearly
got one on the bay but like an idiot I let my sign in time out. Knice looking nife-I wish it had a different name.:barf:

Imafritz,
That is precisely why Buck changed the name to White Knight shortly after the knife was introduced!!

Thank Larry,
You sealed the deal-I like the look of it and I love the 500 series-need to add to the collection.

Is it still in production or strictly a finder? Whats the handle material...one guy on the bay said bone.

It was never called the Lady Knight. It was first named the "Lady Buck".Then Buck renamed it to White Knight in 1979 so males would buy it.The 506 is of the classey 500
series.Which had stainless steel bolsters ,liner and rocker bar all polished. With a 440C blade stamped w/ old English script and in a drop point .The 500's are a real gentleman's knife. On the 506 is white micarta slabs and mother of pearl on the 507.Both are hard to come by.They were discontinued in the 90's.In very good shape to NIB.I gave 75-100$ for mine.Hope you find one.DM

Danke Haebbie
Good info-glad I'm not the only one who wanted to carry a Ladies knife-
When I saw that, I immediately watched football reruns, drank a beer and ate blazin hot chili to prove my manliness(would have done it anyway-just needed an excuse for the wife:thumbup::D)

You're welcome, Fritz,

But one thought: it is not a Ladies knife, it is a Knife Lady. :D ;) :)
If I go out I always take my Lady with me - this one ore that one, or both.

Best,
Haebbie
