Buck 526 Gent with odd blade shape

Does the blade tip look odd on the 526 Gent pictured on top in the group photo? I got if for cheap at auction, and it was advertised as professionally sharpened. The blade is a little shorter than all of my other similar knives, and the top edge has a downward curve toward the point. As seen in the pic, the blade shape does vary just a little between different years and models, but none of the others have the downward curve. I can’t find any machine marks, but it looks like maybe the very tip was broken, and maybe the blade got reshaped into a point. Is this something the factory would do? Any opinions appreciated.

It looks like it's been reshaped... Some guys do it all the time...
If they break the tip or just want it that way...
Just my 2 cent...

Even the blade is smaller... So I would say a reshape...

Looks reprofiled to me.
If it bothers you, maybe Buck will replace the blade in a SPA treatment, for a few dollars? Most likely not a warranty repair, but that would be Buck's call.

Thanks guys. Yes, I figured that the point was probably was re-shaped. I also considered what it would cost to have the blade replaced... even if it wasn't the high gloss one. I'll bet it wouldn't be much.
