Is there anybody out there that might know the value of this one? It is the 532 model with the BG-42 blade. Thanks for any help

is it the year two thousand special edition? Or another run. The year 2000 special edition looks pretty simular, has BG-42 and retails for about $60-70.

I think that mschwoeb is probably correct. The wood inlay on the 532 in your photograph appears more similar to the "Red" 2000LE than the wood inlays that I have seen on the 531, 532 and 535 Bucklocks of the early 1990s, though the sheath shown with the knife looks like it might be from the 1990s. What is the Buck year code that appears as the fourth character after "532" stamped just under "Buck" and above "USA"on the obverse of the blade? Where is the "BG-42" stamp on the blade?
No matter what the answers to the questions above, it is a great knife.

thanks for the help, tere is what looks like a backwards c after the 532, and the BG-42 is on the opposite side of the tang.

If, when you say that the character after the 532 is a backward "C", the mark resembles "]" with each of the three sides of equal length, then I think that it is probably one of the Red LE2000 532s and the information on price that mschwoeb gave you is pretty much correct, though the high end from on-line sources might be closer to $80. The "]" is the Buck year code for 2000. If however the character is really a backward "C" with the round corners then that should be the year code for 1996 and I am very much out of my depth and refer you to those more knowledgeable than I of whom there many who regularly post on this forum.
