As well made as the Buck 110? Am thinking about getting one for carry around the office. Any reports on this little half-size 110?

I got one and I like it. Seems to be well made (no surprise there), pretty sharp out of the box, although a bit smaller than I anticipated.

Nice pics :) I have one as well and agree with Gary007 on this. Typical Buck quality but much smaller than I envisioned. Didn't stop me from buying one, though :D I got mine because it would be my first Idaho Buck, more than anything. I used it as my EDC for a few days and mine worked great. For me, it's mostly the simple things - opening letters/packages, food prep, a bit of wire stripping, cutting zip ties. I guess it would depend on what you do, but with only a few exceptions, it should work well.

yep, "typical Buck quality", good way to put it. At $29.99, it's worth picking up one, or two. :)

Yeah, my first Idaho Buck now that I think about it.

 Good job Buck.

Got mine a couple of days ago after quick shipping by Knivesplus. I like it, it's a good EDC size and my first Idaho Buck as well. I also picked up the nylon pouch style sheath for my Vanguard and a Buck hat.

Buckaroo661, I wish I'd known you wanted a nylon Vanguard sheath. I would have sent you mine. Had a custom kydex sheath made a while back for my ATS-34 Vanguard, and the nylon sheath has just been sitting in a bag. Oh well, I see you got yours on sale for a good price.

I'm on an extended work-related trip (6 weeks away from home) and, as such, am away from my stash of pocketknives. During the trip, my lone carry knife has been my 55. So far, it's been GREAT (as I knew it would be). A serious serious cutter that's easy in the pocket. My only complaint is the tarnish that builds up on the brass ...... back home I polish this sucker every week or so, so it's paining me for it not to look as pretty as the one in Gary007's pics! :(

Buck really did a killer job on this knife.

Ordered a 55 today. Looking forward to some pocket carry time.

I just got my Buck 55 yesterday. Gary007's pictures had something to do with it. i love it, it's tiny though.

yeah, they are tiny. I'm going to order myself a Squire,.... they a tad bigger?

Received my Buck 55 day before yesterday. I have to say that I'm disappointed and am planning on sending it back.

The wood isn't nearly as nice as that in Gary007's photos. In fact, in two spots on one side, it looks like there are dabs of silver under the finish. All I can think of is that the wood was strangely discolored and didn't get caught in quality control.

Win some, lose some. It is a little bitty one though, isn't it?

Gary007-
Your pic of the two side by side is now my background. Nice pics!

I just got my 55 this past week, at Gander Mtn sports. I loved it as soon as I saw it. The wood coloring on mine is a pretty close match to the 110 I was casrying on me that day, which helped move that impulse but along.
I am very impressed with it. It is almost like a 'toy' 110 in appearance and size.
I have carried it daily since picking it up. It carries nicely in the front pocket of my dress pants at work. I often carry an old knight or esquire; this seems to bridge the gap between the two. Plus, it looks like my 110!
I plan on buying the other handle options, in the future. :)

I hope they have a whole bunch, at least one special edition every year or more often. But hopefully not at $80.

Carl-
I agree with you on the price point. The more reasonably priced they are, the more I will buy.
