Hello everyone!

I am trying to find somewhere Buck 55, that was exactly like my very first knife ever. But I haven't found anywhere seller that has Buck 55's for international shipping.

Infact, most places that carried Buck 55's year ago seems to have none in stock and Buck 55's seem to be harder and harder to find with my sources. Perhaps I am looking from wrong places? Or what's going on?

Any hints where I could get Buck 55? Or Should I just order Buck 501 Squire, which is rare too, but I still could get one... But I do like brass over nickelcoating.

If I looked specs correctly Squire is like 55, just different blade type and nickel coated bolster's instead brass in 55? But size and weigth wise they appear to be identical?

Thanks for assistance.

The Squire and the 55 aren't the same size. The bottom two in this picture are a Squire (501) and a 55. The 55 is a LE, but is the same as a standard one. The Prince (503) is closer to the size of the 55.

All of them should be commonly available, but for overrseas shipping I don't know.

Thanks for information, I'll look prince then. 55's are pretty commonly available if you live in continental US....

Thanksplumberdv. It seems Belote also has the 55's and they're cheaper than princes in there and with reasonable shipping prices. It seems I finally get back that knife I've been missing for 20 years... Better late than never though.

There you go. I didn't know if you wanted to go on eBay, so I didn't mention it.

 20 years ago? They didn't start making the 55 until 2005, five years ago.

maybe not it was not Buck 55 that I lost, but it was look-a-like, probably a from Puma or Böker brass lined and darkwood inlayed folder with back lock. But 55 looks exactly the same looking. Buck is most reputable maker of those who currently make such looking knives... Or it could have been some Buck 500 series-folder but I think it might have been Puma or Böker, since Germany is way closer than USA...

Note his location.

Clearly, time is not a factor.

;)

I will not say anything about my hush-hush-triple-secret-time-machine!! :D

are you wanting one for dally use or one that is for
admiring and saving in like new condition?
and were are you located?
i ask as i have a map that i put a pin marker by
their city and state or country
for every buck collector that does not mind

Currently I am looking for both. Carry it few weeks in pocket and then put it for admiring and taking it with me on special happenings. I live in Finland. If you want to pin exact Location: XXXXX. I probably get another one later for keeping it as spare.

a city or place name close by in Finland is good
exact locations are not desired for security reasons..

i would like to visit there when i go to see Haebbie in Berlin,
which most likely will be spring next year
(hee hee hee when i do i will bring Extra Bucks with me ;) )

PlumberDv, What is the name and number of the top knife in your picture? I have a Prince and have seen the Squire but the top one in your picture somehow slipped undermy radar, thanks, Spike

This town is so small, that everyone know each other, so security *shrugs* but I abide the wishes. If you place bin North side of Turku in Coast line, you're hitting close this small town... :D
