Does anyone have a picture of a Buck 55 so I'll know if I find one at a pawn shop or junk store, otherwise i may think it's a Pakistan copy and not even look at it.

The lower one.

Haebbie

How wide is the 55 compared to a 110, or a 301?

I just measured a 55 and a black delrin 301. The 55 is 5/16" thick compared to the 301 at 9/16". A standard Wally World 110 is only a hair thicker than the 301.

For comparison from the top down Buck 111, 110, 112, 55
Interesting 112 with the serratted blade and the notches in the brass and top of the blade. I have not seen that before on a 112.

Also, I was trying to stress that the 55 thickness is like the 503, which is quite thin. The 55 is more of a gentlemans knife, instead of a work knife.

And a nice mouth harp you have too (if it is still in the box).

Best,
Haebbie

Yep, I do have it. It was my great grandfather's. The harp is rusty, but plays GREAT. Some day I may have it restored and put it into the gig bag.

I've played for years, even working with blues and rock bands. I'm embarrassed to admit it on this forum, but I spend more money and time on harmonica-related stuff than I do on knives.
