I just picked up a Buck 560 at the local knife store. It's amazingly light compared to a regular 110, just as you'd expect. I was surprised at the price -- less than $40. It seemed low to me given the expense of working with titanium.
I read some earlier threads about the action being rough. The action was rough on mine too. It felt gritty, like maybe metal filings were fouled up in the action.
I loaded it up with dish detergent and worked the action about 100 times. Then I worked the action under hot running water. I dried it off and re-lubed it with Pro Link, and the grittiness is completely gone.
I like this knife enough that I'm considering upgrading the blade to BG-42. Is the upgrade still available? Thanks!
