I've been doing research but can anyone tell me the difference between a 560 Titanium and a Titanium crystal? I've read the previous post about not being a great knife but still would like one in the collection.

Here are my 3. The crystal is just a bit different look to the knife, as you can see. Color and texture are different. Crystal on top, titanium on bottom. I think these are all great knives.

The original 560 was 1/2" thick and had stepped edges on the handle. The newer models were 7/16" thick and had chamfered edges. The crystal finish on the later models came in 2 colors: Champagne and gray.View attachment 456792

Here's a older 560 that the rivets have never been spun and a purple 560 with a purple blade...
It's a little hard to see the purple, but it's all purple... This 560 is sweeet....

560's...

The older half inchers were made before the handle suppliers factory burned down. Buck didn't make the handles. The older ones had the offset edge like in ITE's pics as well as the vertical walls in the holes.

After they found the new handle supplier, the 560's were the thin ones with the beveled wall edges and no offset edge.

I'm thinking that was 92/93. Probably wrong. I would have to go through mine and see when the think ones stop and thin ones start. I believe all that info is buried in these threads. Y'all might have to be Gold membership to do that kind of search.
