Buck 560?

I just ran across a Buck 560U and to me it looks just like a 110. Could anyone tell me what the difference is?

Hmmm, the only other 560's I could find were the titanium ones. One of them had a 110 blade in it. I wonder if this might just be a 110 with a 560 blade in it.

Its my understanding that the 560 blade is exactly the same as a 110 blade. So, your guess is probably dead on. I suppose that it could have happened for any number of reasons but if I had to speculate I'd say the knife went in for a repair or blade replacement and got installed possibly inadvertantly. In any case, the knife is still a perfectly good 110 and somewhat unusual now. A keeper.

Well, I haven't bought it yet and probably won't now that I think I know whats going on with it. It says that it is new and unused, so maybe it came that way from Buck. Who knows.

It happens, here is the flip side, a 560XLT that got out of the factory with a 110 blade.

Just about every 560 with a 110 blade I have seen was a 2003 T one.

Makes me wonder if that was a year they ran out of 560 blades and filled the handles with what they had.

Interesting, lots of 310's from 03 have 309 clip blades...and some from the late eighties.

Grab it!!! Make it a user or a great conversation piece. There are numerous blades that will fit different frames, and have left the factory that. Not just the 110/560

Yeah, I've seen several of those 310/309's in the "bay"!

Maybe 2003 was a "look, we're planning to move to Idaho or somewhere soon, so take an inventory and use up as much of the stuff we have laying around as we can year"

It's a curio, but I hope you didn't pay more than a new Walmart 110 would cost...'cause that's pretty much what you bought...
