Hi i have a question regarding the different Buck 639 models.
I have the buck 639> that i bought in the spring of 1988 at the Hanau rod and gun club, while on tour of duty in the Army. i love this knife it went to the gulf war with me as a last defense weapon taped to my web gear.
Recently i bought another of e bay with the 639- stamp, i was was comparing the two when it caught my eye that on the 639- the serrated edge by the tip was ground out on the opposite side. my question is why, and is there a value difference, also the slots for the saw back on the 639> were 1/8th deeper.
