Hey guys,
Can a few or all of you with the knowledge suggest a value for my knife? She is a 1994 639 with a smooth spine with serrated tip. The handle is black phenolic and has the brass guard and pummel. I attached a picture for anyone who does not know this knife or have never seen it.
Thanks, Mike

Nice Buck, sure someone may be able to help you, just wanted to say I was raised in the Oak Ridge, Oliver Springs area of East Tennessee.

Actually I have been here almost 4 years. I was raised in Ca near Oregon in a tiny town named Fall River Mills, CA. It is in the Cascade Mountain Range.

Beautiful 639. Look at post #13 in this thread.

Blade looks the same except for the stamping and of course yours has brass fittings. If yours was one of the custom shop offerings I would think it would have a stamp from the custom shop. In another thread C.J. Buck mentioned making up a bunch of 639's with 119 parts some years back. Don't know if those had a custom stamp or not.

looks like a JOE HOUSER Special. This was NEVER mass produced in the configuration you have. I have its twin however I have serrations $200 to $300 is my estimation on the value

Maybe I'll write Joe this coming week. I saw one listed as sold on the bay at $410. It had the custom stamp with the saw top blade and aluminum parts rather than brass and it fetched $410.
I researched everything I could on the BCCI site but found zip, zero, natta.
Thanks for the help. If anyone else has some info send it on, I am always intrigued by these type things.
I had the custom saw top without realizing what it was and had Heath put a stag on it and then sold it. Sure wish I had that one now.
Thanks all.
