Hey guys -

Just thought I'd share a picture of a 701 I had sent out to Leroy Remer for replacing the stock wooden scales with jigged bone he has on hand that he bought up from Buck. He did a real nice job fitting the new scales, and he also did a spa and sharpen while he was at it. The old scales were well used and missing the shield, so I figured it was a good candidate for Leroy to redo. There was plenty of bolster dings as well from pocket carry but he buffed them all out.

The jigged bone is a brownish, slight red tint, looking. Looks redder in the pictures than it is. Sorry for the lousy pictures and fingerprints. Cloudy, windy, and cold outside, and a delicate flower such as myself couldn't risk venturing out. :)

Knife is shown next to one of my others with stag, then one with the regular wood.

Very nice, indeed. The 701 was a great knife. I wonder why they dropped it? And yes, Joe, a 701 (and a 301) would be great in S30V (or CTS-XHP).
