I rescued this Buck slippie from an antique store. It looks new in box, and if I’m correct it’s dated to 1991. It’s a cool little knife, but I’m not huge into Buck knives so before I decided to carry it, I wanted to ask what the fair value would be to put on this model knife. The Online auction results are all over the place, so I figured I’d ask here and see what the experts say.

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to make a killing, just want to know if it’s worth more for me to sell it or try it out in use. I kinda need to sell it because I have plenty of this size knife🤣

Edit: not sure why my pictures rotated sideways, and I can’t figure out how to change it. Thanks!

Yep, and on a 700 series they will be.
Discontinued and most likely not brought back into production again.
If it is truly unused and with the box and paperwork it is somewhat collectible...if you find that person needing it for their collection.
I'm not going to guess what it would sell for.
Maybe others will come along with better info.

Being discontinued, the 700 series does have some collector value, but from what I've seen it's not great. Generally, the older knives with the "script" tang stamps go for more. I believe the older ones used a different blade steel (440c?) as well. There are others on this forum who are more knowledgeable than me who may be able to confirm this.

I don't know how much your knife is worth either, but here's a picture of my cat with a 112.

Sorry, I guess that really didn't help.

You'd have no problem getting $80 on Ebay, and $60 is a good fair price if you want to give a fellow forum member a bit of a deal.
If you payed a lot less than that maybe sell it, if not there's little profit to be made and I say just use it.
Did you look at sold listings or current asking prices ?

I think I paid maybe $40 for my 705, lightly used no box.

I paid 25$ out the door. But I’ve decided I should probably keep it in case I run out of watch pocket knives😏

I usually don’t like the squares off bolsters that Buck loves, especially on a smaller knife. But this one seems to work for me, so I guess I’ll hang on to it for now!

I'm a 305 fan, but the 705 does feel a little less dainty for people who aren't as into really small knives like I am.

$25 is a great score.
