Well tonight I was online and I found me a Buck 705 that has two blades. I looked at the pictures and it looks to be a little used but it's in real good condition; the tips not broken on either blade, the edge isn't too used up, the shield with "Buck" in it is still there and of course it's 100% American made. I understand that this model of knife has been discontinued and I believe it's dated to have been produced in 1988 based on the symbol next to the model number. It's measurements from the listing said it's 2 and 1/2" long (I don't know if that's largest blade length or what exactly that means). I'm wondering if, for one, is that model in fact discontinued and two, I'd just like to know any info y'all can give me on this fine vintage piece from Buck Knives so I can of course appreciate it.

That model was brought out in May 1981 and discontinued in 2002. Handle length is 2 5/8" and it was named the Pony, older name was Amigo. Smaller blade looks to be a Warcliff type. DM

In my opinion the 700 series was one of the classiest knives ever made by any company. I only have the 703 that was bought for me as a B-day gift back in 94 from my parents. It has seen lots of pocket time. Not as much in recent years but still every once in awhile.
