I have a Buck 722 with anodized scales; I think they are aluminum. It's a couple of years old but I have never used it much. I really like this knife for a number of reasons. However, the action is quite stiff so I decided to try improving it. When it was apart there was some gunk around the pivot so I cleaned everything and reassembled it and do not feel much difference. When I took it apart I found only 1 washer on the blade pivot. It is not metal; Teflon maybe? I have at least 2 questions. 1. Why only one washer? This is absolutely the first time it was disassembled so I am at a loss. 2. Seems there are different camps regarding lubrication. Should washers be oiled? What about bearings.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks
Hector
