Buck 728 - 440C?

Not sure which model the 728 is off the top of my head, but Buck's heat treating is overseen by Paul Bose....doesn't get much better.

What is it? It's not in the '05 catalog. Yes to your second ?.
 
Guys, jump on ebay and do a search on Buck 728.... you'll get the picture pretty quick...
 
Yep, all those Wal-Mart clearanced knives hitting Ebay. I wonder how many were picked up at $5.00 each for resale?
 
If this is indeed 440C properly heat treated, this may well be the best value in a small fixed blade in the world.

I'm surprised by the lack of interest and that the Buck Masters here on this forum can't give me the skinny.
 
Ya, I got one for $15 ar W-M. I figured it be worth at least that for a 440C Buck. If nothing else I can use the sheath for something.
