Buck 850 Bravo - 277 Alpha handle swap

I have a Buck 850 Bravo with the Besh Wedge blade. It has the handles/scales of G10 that cover the entire liner with a hole in G10 for pivot pin and the pin sits flush with handle material. I also have a Buck 277 Alpha that has handles that don't cover the area where the pivot pin sits and so the pivot is flush with the liner instead. This would suggest two different pivot pin lengths to me. The frames on the Alpha and Bravo appear identical except the liners on Bravo are a bit thinner. I prefer the Alpha handles so I'd like to retrofit the Bravo with handles off an Alpha (not from my current Alpha). I assume I'll need a new pivot pin too? My Alpha is so tight and silky smooth I don't want to take it apart to measure the pin. I'm guessing it would be easiest just to buy another Alpha and swap the handles and pivot pin but I would hate to do that if some other issue prevents the swap...any thoughts/suggestions?08608E6E-22F8-4A31-950C-0870DF52A2EC.jpeg

Yes it can be done. I got this from one of our forum members years ago. Brother Jim did not like the Bravo blade. However, he did like the Bravo handle. He took the blade out of 850/277 and switched them. He kept the 277 blade in the plastic handle and I got the 850 blade in the 277 handle.

See the back knife I think there was a little fitting required.
