Does anyone here own the (ATS34 & G10)? I know that Buck made this knife in collaboration with Strider Knifes but I’m curious if anyone has had a problem with the liner lock. I’ve only seen the knife in pictures but it appears to have a somewhat thin liner lock. Maybe that doesn’t matter at all and the knife is tough as nails. I just wanted to get some feedback before I actually purchased one.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I carry one of these in my EDC rotation and I'm very happy with it. The liner does look relatively thin but it engages quite far and has a nice tight lock-up, yet disengages without undue effort. The opening action on mine is very smooth, fit and finish are pretty well done for a production piece (only slight variation in grind lines). I find it to be very comfortable in the hand during use even with it's somewhat unconventional handle shape. I particularly like the large choil that allows for finer control when "choking up" on the blade. The blade hole is well sized and opens easily even with gloves on. The texturing on the blade gives a very positive grip if you prefer/need to do a two-hand open, again even with gloves on.

Hope that helps some!

All the best,

Keith
