Buck 891GCK - anyone have one?

I have a couple of them in different variations. A great heavy duty knife. Very rugged and well made. I really like them in every way. Buck really hit it out of the park with this model. Comes in 4 variations. Spear point and tanto in black or tan.

That's good to know, I will place it on the top of the list.

of the newer Bucks......these are my favorites. very smart thick stock designs but still can cut well and easy to keep sharp. not a huge fan of the sheath, but works okay. rather have a leather sheath, but is what it is. i had Mike make me a leather sheath.

very tough. 5160. thick stock but as i said well thought out and made to not be a stupid sharpened prybar only. works as a knife well.

these are great knives and seems other folks think so too, as they always seem to sell out as they come out in batches.

Are the GCK models still in production?
I ask because I've seen them listed as discontinued/unavailable on several sites, Amazon included.
There are still some listed as in stock on quite a few sites though.

pretty sure are...they seem to sell well and always out of stock fairly quickly on various dealer sites since their introduction.

I can't see why Buck would cut them when they sure sell fast compared to many other models that don't.

seems Buck is struggling with labor and maybe materials too? like everyone else in the country is right now. sure if they could they'd love to catchup on the shorted models.

I hope they keep them in the line.
You are probably right about labor and material issues.

I received an e-mail from C&C saying the 808 Talon is discontinued......
So it appears the whole line of GCK is gone.

Having just received the 108 Froe, and loving it, I couldn't help but grab a Talon while supplies last.
There's just something sweet about a big piece of 5160!

Heads up, Buck has less than 50 total in stock.
....you know you want one!

Remember the problems with the word Tactical online Buck was having? That is why GCK isn't on Bucks website. The whole line shows up in the 2021 Dealer catalog.
Maybe Jeff knows if the GCK line is discontinued. I see the Talon on Bucks website.

they were under survival, but have been pulled off. im still hoping its labor and materials shortages and issues and they aren't killed off yet.

the talons appeared killed off per c&cs email. it said as much.

I didnt receive the email, maybe I missed it. I see the Talon all over online for sale. I guess some are still out there if some one is looking.

I'm wondering if the whole line is discontinued.
And the only reason the Talon is on Buck's website is because there is still stock....
The knives are gone. Usually running line knives that have no stock say so.

19 tan, 15 grey Talons in stock as of now...

I always meant to grab a tan spear point knife..... Oh well, I liked the Talon more anyways.
Sometimes something like this motives me to buy when I wouldn't otherwise.
I'm just glad C&C gave the heads up email.

Google Buck GCK. Every retailer at least 10 deep has them in stock. Only one said delayed by manufactured.

Hope they dont discontinue these so quickly after introducing them.
