I just acquired what I believe is a 915 Game Set #22 which I think is from the mid 80’s. I was pointed to a section of the Jun 2006 BCCI newsletter where it shows the 1980 thru 93 custom knife production log and states 39 of these were made.

A Buck dealers catalog from this era says the wood is Mesquite. I’ve also seen photos of a set in MOP and one in Buffalo horn. I haven’t seen any but the dealer price list also has options for sambar stag, mastodon ivory and Damascus blade.

Does anyone know if the quantity of 39 from the newsletter is accurate and does that include all versions?

thanks

Great acquisition, sorry I don't know the answers to your questions.

Nice set. Those numbers are a good ballpark but not exact. I may have a set or two without serial numbers. And that goes for almost every 900 series knife from back then.

That's a fantastic twin set! And definitely the nicest twin factory shieth I've ever seen.

Until I saw this one I never new this set existed. I’d like to see a stag or mastodon ivory set.
