If you suspect that you may have a special problem, fixation, obsession, devoted to Buck Knives, you may be addicted to, or under the influence of, or
possibly be "Hooked".
Yes my friend, you may too be a fiend such as I am.
Society is ridden with many types of people with different monkeys on thier backs.
The first step is to admit that you need help.
We should develop a support group where a Buck Addict can call a fellow member to "Talk him down" When he is about to purchase something on his credit card that is equivalent to his car payment.
I Know how bad that monkey on your back can be. I even named my monkey.
His name is: if the wife finds out - I am dead.
Do you have a monkey on your back? Keep your cellphone charged.

someday i may have to admit to the monkey but for now i will keep living in denial :D

Hi Porky,

Yes I have a problem just like yours. But, I call it "I hope I get the mail before her". You know that *&^(%$# mail man got me busted again yesterday when he rang the door bell with not one package for me; no he had two!!!! Now I'm back in the dog house.......I hope I get the other packages before I'm in deeper water. Yes I know I need help......I know just where to get it......the Buck exchange forum :). You just may see some of my stuff there.

JB,
I think the only support you will get here is suggestions on how to get to the mail person before your wife does. It seems to be a common problem.

Hi Mike,

Someone here said it's better ........or.....at least easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission :( . I think I need to lay off buying more knives for awhile and get some display cases on my wall  . I have some new case's that were made to display die-cast cars. I think these will look good with some knives in them. However, I need to get some knife stands. One day when they are full of knives I'll post some pics ;) .

Same here, TLC, it’s not a problem. It could be but it isn’t.

As a friend of mine likes to say ‘Have a beer. They’ll make more.’ Wise follow.

I have it broken down to a mathematical equasion of sorts... Does the amount of enjoyment i will get from the knife I want to buy outweigh the amount of grief I must endure when the wife finds out? This is really only a formality though, the answer is always YES!!!

I bought the two tins at Wal-Mart today while my wife was with me. This is also known as "tempting fate." :)

I think the lay low idea is good. Of course, it would be a lot easier if Buck didn't make so many cool knives.
