I bought an Alaska 25 year statehood knife the other day on the big auction site and the COA was listed as 250 fro Cutlery World. Then I looked at COMPLETED items and there was one that did not sell and it's COA had 500 for the state of Alaska. They appear to be same same knife, same etching and both with a 426 blade but the other one came in a dark brown buck box and wooden wall plaque. So as far as the knife I guess mine is really at least 1 of 750, unless there are others. I know there is also a 50 year Alaska knife with a 110 blade.

Here is the picture of what I bought:

Here is a couple of pictures of the other one:

Your first real post... :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Now on to the SPS... My friend... :eek: ... Don't forget to being up those other pictures for all to see ... ;)

I sure hope some one can tell us more about this knife...

:)

The Alaskan Statehood knives were issued it 1985. There were three versions, Wine colored scales 250 issued, Orange colored scales 250 issued, and Black colored scales 500 issued, these all had the 426 blade. In 2008 another knife was issued with the 110 blade.

Here is the 110 blade 2008 issue.

Here is on of the 426s with the Black scales.

Thanks JB. So I guess mine is the wine color?? at 250 made for Cutlery World per COA, and the run of 500 that were black was made for the state of Alaska per COA. Wonder what the orange colored ones at a limit of 250 had on the COA.

I thought I had seen photos of a Duke having that Alaskan Statehood inlay on it. DM

I note that the top one, 049, the COA says it is one of 250 made for Cutlery World. The second one, the COA says it was one of 500 made for the State of Alaska. So, these were runs or purchases for separate entities.
