One of my most frequent uses for a knife is opening and shearing cardboard boxes. Like most of you. Somehow the idea that a guthook skinner might be a better-suited tool for this task dawned on me.

WOW! Was I impressed. Clean, and safe.

Gut hook works great for cutting off small hard to reach wire "tie wraps" for me at work also.
