Buck's new Alpha series looks like a winner. Saber grind with flat grind (not hollow) drop point and in 420HC, S35VN or Magnacut. The last two might be too steep for me, but the orange handle large Alpha in 420HC is being offered at Copper and Clad for $69. Might have to pick one up. Wish the Selkirk was made in the USA with our heat treat rather than China's. Does anyone know what the Selkirk tang looks like?

The cheapest one has the best(my preferred) grind(hollow). I like the look of the elite sheaths and how the belt loop attaches. I also like the handle options on the pro models. Lots of things to like unfortunately for me not all in the same knife.

Give me hollow ground magnacut with the richlite handle please 😝

Yes, sir. My preference would be the Alpha Guide in hollow ground 420HC (without the tumbled finish) with Walnut handle and brown leather sheath. Maybe Buck Knives Inc. Buck Knives Inc. would consider adding the Alpha Series to the Custom Shop to let folks pick their favorite combination.

It's my understanding that the kydex sheath will be available separately.
I'm guessing that it should fit the Select and Pro series knives as well.

I have the Alpha Guide Pro and really like it and thought that it needed a kydex sheath all along.

I really hope they look better in person!!🤔
Not sure now??
Not real keen on the blade finish in the picture?? 😵‍💫

Maybe if that were true you'd have a point. The Viper has actually been tested in the real world and is praised everywhere. Oh and it looks better, so the question remains.

I'll play.

1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Check Buck.

2. Handle looks more ergonomic. As I don't own either, I can't say for certain, but the viper with that hotspot looking point near the end of the handle doesn't look comfortable to me. Check Buck.

3. FOREVER warranty. Check Buck.

4. USA ! USA ! USA ! Check Buck.

5. Resale value. USA made knives are always more desirable; may only be true in the world I live in. Troll World things might be different. Check Buck.

6. Buck has been tested on all of the League Of 20,000 Planets. Highly praised on most worlds where there are humans. Check Buck.

Buck for the win 🏆! ! ! The crowd goes wild ! ⭐🌟 ⚡🥇 ⚡🌟⭐

I prefer the Buck visually. have 2 of these models in different steels. I've real world tested them for my uses with knives, and they've done fine.

I don't know this viper knife but looks fine too. you're kinda basing your entire argument on opinions more than facts.

Italian design > all. Viper

Viper (see above)

Viper again, confirmed by numerous reviews.

That costs $100 more, Viper again.

Most Bucks are China-made (unlike Viper).

Lol

Not this one. This Viper has been tested extensively.

Thanks for playing! And losing 😆

Time to grow up.
