Buck Bantam BLW Problem

I recently received a Buck Bantam BLW for a birthday present. My uncle engraved the blade with my initials, which was great. The problem is this, one of the screws that holds the clip on is broken. It seems that a part of it is stuck in the handle because the screw wont even start to tighten back up. I am planning on sending it back to Buck. I want to know if anybody else has had this problem and if Buck will use the same blade in a new handle or what they will do. I don't want my family to know that I had to send it back. Do ya'll have any tips for sending it to Buck?

P.S. I have 5 other Bucks that are pretty much perfect. I'm very happy with the company overall.

I would assume they will be able to fix it. Warranty says fix or replace at thier discretion but fix is alway the perferred option I would believe. When you send it in make it clear on your note that it has sentimental value. This will do 2 things, 1) make them try harder to repair-(which is poorly phrased because they always try as hard as humanly possible to satisfy customers), but you know what I mean, and 2) if it needs replaced and cant be repaired, they may(may mind you) return the original back to you as well so you dont loose something of special meaning.

It just dont get better than Buck!
