Anyone use a blade that has a cut-out or does it make the blade to weak? I'm looking at one now and considering it as my new hunting knife. Some cut-outs are rather large but this one is modest leaving quite a bit of material above and below the cutout. Sorry the knife is a 110, thanks

I own a Buck 112 with a Confederate Flag cutout - I wouldn't want to mess with cleaning the gunk after cleaning an animal, although I guess scrubbing with a stiff brush would take it right out. I'm in David's camp on my view; I bought this one to look at, but I think it would still be strong enough to use in a normal manner. OH

I think Buck still warranties the blade. It's really a personal choice as to using any rare or special Buck. Some of the really fancy factory inlaid handles might not take hard use but actually using a fancy Buck has a certain appeal! I like to call them 'Dress Up' Bucks..
