I bought this 2016 Buck 301 blem. I'm not sure who put the red arrow on it. Anyway, if this is a blem, Buck has some mighty high standards. I can't find the blem anywhere on it. Saved a few bucks (heh, heh :p ). Something to consider in the future.

Must have something to do with the pin. You can see it.
You may be right. I had that thought, but looking at some of my other Buck 300 series, seeing the pin isn't uncommon. Also, you can't see it because I didn't photo it, but both pins are visible on both sides, so I can't see why this one warranted an arrow.

Are you sure those are "Blems"? Any chance they were incorrectly marked as such?
I've seen less perfect looking knives (of other brands) in the cases at places like Sportsman's Warehouse, Big 5, and BPS, among others, over the years past.

Awesome way to get a really cool user you will not feel guilty about using.

Heck it could be very interesting to collect them. They could definitely be conversation pieces....

Looking at some of these pics, it occurred to me that this knife is not stamped "FB". Are all blems marked with "FB"?

Most are marked on the box. Years ago FB was used on the blade.

I'm glad they got awa year from that. It's one thing buying a Blem but then plaster FB on the blade that kinda looks crappy. There's more discrete ways of marking the blade.

Agreed

all factory blems from now on into the future will have fb etched on the blade--dishonest people were bringing sending them into warranty and wanting replacements-factory blems still have the full lifetime warranty so I am not sure exactly how this was affecting any of that....
