I just purchased a Buck 722 spitfire in blue. It has a s30v blade and was advertised as Limited production. I have no seen it anywhere but at Copperandclad. Buck said that they do make special runs at times. The knife is very nice and seems authentic. Does any one have a thought about this knife?

I have the Slimline version and for what it is, it's nice. I saw that one you have. The idea of a quality S30V knife for less than 50 dollars almost got me to get it. It's a nice knife and if I was a collector or into pocket clipped knives, I'd grab it up fast.

Thanks for posting this! I need to pick one up. I've always wanted to try a Spitfire and this seems like a great deal for < $50!

I got mine in the other day and I'm impressed. This has the best fit and finish of any inexpensive Buck I've bought. The grind is good and the action is smooth. These are a limited run with serialized blades. Great deal for sub-$50!

I'm gonna try and contact the seller and see if they'll tell me how many were made...definitely the best Buck for less than $50 I've ever seen.

SKBlades has a new Spitfire and now I see this one. They both look great, and they both have what I have been longing for in the Spitfire - upgraded blade steel. Not only is this S30V steel, but it's also in a color I have been wanting as well. Well, that and black. Decisions, decisions. :D

Do the blades have any play? The standard Buck editions usually have a serious amount of blade play and that is why I have never purchased one.

The blade play issue on Spitfires have been pretty much taken care of. Occasionally one can be found with blade play but it's just a matter of tightening the pivot screw and it disappears.
Hopefully with upgraded steel the Spitfire will start getting the respect it deserves. It's a great little knife.

Just ordered that Extreme Spitfire from SK. I couldn't pass it. I generally don't get into the tacticool scene but S35 for 60 bucks? Yeah well it's hard to pass up.

Might have to get one. Not because it's S30V (honestly I could care less) but because I love blue scales.
