I would like to buy a Boker Plus Titan Drop knife and replace the blade with the Buck Vantage Force Pro s30v blade. I have the diamond and tungsten tools to shape the base of the blade. I just need to know if this customization is physically possible before I buy the $40 Boker. Have any of you looked at these knives in person? If successful, I will have a knife with a Buck S30V blade, and a Boker titanium lockback handle for around $112. I'm not saying that they're the best, but lockback is my personal favorite locking mechanism.

lock back, tactical folder, customize

The Buck is a liner lock and the Boker is a lockback. Your gonna have to do some precise modification to the buck's blade to get the boker's spring to lock up. Are the blades the same thickness? If the buck blade is too thick it won't fit in the boker. If it works it'd be neat to see, though.

The blades are the same thickness, and the S30V blade is short enough. I already know how a lockback works. I am planning on reshaping the base of the blade. I just need to know whether the pivot hole in the S30V blade is in the right place. Also, is the Boker pivot pin larger than the Buck one? If it is, I could widen the Buck blade pivot hole.
