As an inexpensive knife what's your opinions. Was planning on buying it for a friend

None of my foreign made Bucks have broken or suffer from any issues at all. Many are the same design as their US made cousins and occasionally the same materials not to mention Buck's quality control standards. Not everything is inferior simply because of where it's made.
