I seen the Buck Bones folder with tanto tip at Dicks today and I think I like it enough as an EDC folder to pick up.

I liked the overall design and feel and it was only $30 - a price I can live with to actually use the knife!

Any opinions on this knife? I mean it's a Buck so it's got to be good right?

Anyone? Are there any other folders out there with this skeleton/bones concept around the same price range & quality?

i bought one years back, the thumb ramp feels akward to me, its kinda heavy, slick handles. and the pocket clip is sorta big. personally i think you could do better for the money.

Hmm any other suggestions? Like I said I like the skeleton/bones concept. I'd probably prefer one with out serrations.

I have one
It is pretty heavy for an EDC...IMHO
It came sharp out the box, always a good thing
The urban camo looks cool :D:thumbup:
I think it's worth 30 bucks, overall, to me........

Well I found out that this Bones knife by Buck is made in china, not the USA which kind of sucks.

But I did just buy a new one off eBay for 9.45 shipped!! Best deal I've ever gotten on a knife lol

I have the Buck Bones knife, and the only hit i really have to complain about is the frame lock. Its way too easy to over bend it when you close the knife, and mine broke after using it for about 2 months.

If the magic number is 30 bucks take a look at Benchmade's Mini Paka II- it is made in China and can be had without serrations = I just sprung for one yesterday so I can't say too much about holding up - the steel is 9Cr13 whatever that is.. but the fit into a large hand is about perfect!
Peace
Revvie
