I'm going to take the pocket clip off my bones and put it on my 110 but I don't know the screw size (what size star bit do I need to get them off, and what size tap should I use to mount them?). Kind of a strange question but I figured someone on here should probably know lol

I believe the thread size is 2/56 very small and super easy to break the tap. I would let a pro do it. Especially if you never threaded anything before. You need the right hole size. Use the Torx bit that fits the size screw head to get them off. I know USA ......makers. com has all of your needs. They also have 2/56 buttonhead screws. It is a #2 screw with 56 threads per inch. There are starting taps and blind hole taps. My suggestion is buy a pre-threaded rod with 2/56 thread and drill the hole and press the threaded rod in the hole to avoid tapping and cut it above the brass and then buff it smooth.

Go to The Sunday Picture Show (8/13) and tiguy7 is a wealth of info for you on what it takes to put a pocket clip on from scratch. I think having a pro do it is much easier and this is from someone that has tapped thousands of holes. Tiguy has the right equipment to keep everything straight. Doing it by hand is not recommended. If you try and break a tap and cannot remove it the knife will look ugly and if it breaks and you can remove it, trying a second one will most likely break at the same point.

The #2X56TPI button head screws usually take a #6 TORX bit. If you break a tap in a Titanium handle, you can dissolve it with battery acid. I like to take a knife far enough apart that I can drill and tap a through hole. In plastic handles I add Helicoils to reinforce the machine screw thread interface. If you cannot drill a through hole, drill a deep one so that chips have a place to go, and you do not bottom the tap.
The percent thread is determined by the ratio of thread diameter to thread length. The shorter the length of screw engagement, the higher you want the threads in the hole. The Machinery Handbook has the charts that let you pick the optimum tap drill size.

The bones will have a metric thread, I'm not sure of the cross reference for that. it will be the closest one to a 2-56. The hole in the pocket clip should be fine with the 2-56 thread diameter to make it easier. That should be a T6
